  Understanding College Financing Options

April is a critical time for 12th grade families as students  contemplate their college choices and decide which school to attend. Need-based and merit-based financial aid packages are often considered as these important decisions are made. To learn more about college financial aid and options for financing a college education, please see these helpful webinars , including "College Financing" and "Paying the College Bill", from the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority (MEFA).

Two fantastic college fairs offered by the National Association for College Admission Counseling and Colleges That Change Lives will be happening in Boston in the coming weeks. Juniors and parents are encouraged to attend. Get out your calendar and save the dates! Both events are free and open to the public.

NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling) hosts college fairs in many US cities during the spring. These fairs are very well attended by colleges located throughout the country and provide a valuable opportunity for students to network with admission officers. Colleges That Change Lives (CTCL) is a non-profit organization including various colleges in the US that are featured in the book Colleges That Change Lives by Loren Pope. CTCL will be offering college fairs in many US cities in 2017. The Boston event will be held on May 20
