College Admissions Academy Announces November Event with Colleges That Change Lives Executive Director

We are excited to share that Maria Furtado, Executive Director of Colleges That Change Lives, will be speaking at a College Admissions Academy event on

November 16 . Join us for Maria's presentation "Finding the Right Fit - A Conversation about the College Search" and learn about the media portrayal of college admission and the reality, liberal arts vs. STEM, financial aid: merit-based and need-based and the return on investment, tips for reducing college search and application stress, and the history and mission of Colleges That Change Lives. We hope to see you in November and encourage parents and students to RSVP early. Attendance is limited.

Fall College Fairs

Fall college fairs have arrived! Students and parents are encouraged to attend. Families can explore numerous schools and learn more about the admission process firsthand from college representatives.

In addition, seniors should also make an effort to connect with admission officers who visit their high schools this fall. For more information about college visits at your high school, please see your school counselor.

NEACAC (New England Association for College Admission Counseling) hosts college fairs throughout New England. Visit this website for the Fall 2017 schedule.

The Education Cooperative will host a college fair

on October 3 at Waltham High School. Many colleges located throughout the US will be in attendance.

Campus Pride will host a college fair on October 13 for LGBTQ and ally students and families at the State House in Boston.

All fairs are free and open to the public.
