Matthew 21:1-11
When they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus gave two disciples a task. 2 He said to them, “Go into the village over there. As soon as you enter, you will find a donkey tied up and a colt with it. Untie them and bring them to me. 3 If anyone says anything to you, say that their master needs them.” He sent them off right away. 4 Now this happened to fulfill what the prophet said, 5 Say to Daughter Zion, “Look, your king is coming to you, humble and riding on a donkey, and on a colt the donkey’s offspring.”[a] 6 The disciples went and did just as Jesus had ordered them. 7 They brought the donkey and the colt and laid their clothes on them. Then he sat on them.
8 Now a large crowd spread their clothes on the road. Others cut palm branches off the trees and spread them on the road. 9 The crowds in front of him and behind him shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord![b]Hosanna in the highest!” 10 And when Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred up. “Who is this?” they asked. 11 The crowds answered, “It’s the prophet Jesus from Nazareth in Galilee.”

Almighty God,
you sent your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ,
to suffer death on the cross.
Grant that we may share in his obedience to your will
  and in the glorious victory of his resurrection;
Through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
One God, now and ever. Amen.

Call to Worship:
L: Awake to the day of triumph for our Savior!
P: Give thanks for this day that leads to the cross!

P: Fill the air with welcome to the Lord!

UMW May Baskets

In the past, our UMW has created candy filled May baskets as a group fundraiser for missional giving. This year, we are trying something new! Rather than candy, we have started flower seedlings in the May baskets. A group filled 80 baskets with Marigold seeds, and they have been growing off-site with plenty of sun, so they will be ready to go for May 1.
These baskets are available for pre-order, with payment of $5 to give to friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and more. They are sure to bring a smile to whomever receives one. Look for a member of our UMW in the Narthex before church on the next few Sundays to place your order. A link to the order blank can be found here as well. Baskets The deadline for ordering is April 24th and will need to be picked up on Saturday April 30th, unless arrangements have been made.

UMW members and friends are also needed for at least one special day to decorate the baskets. This should be a fun morning of crafting, fellowship, and treats. Join them on Tuesday April 12, at 10:15 to help if you are able.

Dust off those windpipes and clear out those vocal chords, Grace UMC is reviving a choir to sing at the Easter Sunday service (April 17). There will be one rehearsal on Wednesday, April 13 (probably at 5:30, but we will confirm that closer to time). We will be singing "I'll Fly Away."

Please seriously consider joining us! It would be helpful if you could reply to this email so we can be sure we have copies of the music for everyone.

Hope to hear from you soon!!!!
