DANCE WITH US!

We’re thrilled to invite participants from all over Toronto to dance on a porch in the Seaton Village neighbourhood with friends, family, or solo! No prior dance experience necessary. All participants will be teamed up with a professional choreographer. 

Now in it’s 8th year, this beloved community dance event provides participants with an opportunity to spend time with loved ones while creating art and connecting with this amazing neighbourhood and city!

Whether you have a porch to offer in Seaton Village, want to perform, or both, we'd love to hear from you!

NO PRIOR DANCE EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.

No Woman’s Land ( Jaberi Dance Theatre ) is an evocative new work that explores real stories of women in refugee camps. Conceived and directed by Roshanak Jaberi and created with a powerhouse artistic team and an ensemble of seven performers, this interdisciplinary production integrates dance, theatre and multi-media – taking audiences on a journey that reveals the plight and resistance of refugee women.

Newton Moraes Dance Theatre’s 20th Anniversary Season presents Wired Love: a dance-theatre work that investigates cultural trends in love, life, connections, friendship, and technology. English Sign Language is used in this performance. Choreographed by Newton Moraes. More info here .

World After Dark is a new dance-theatre production choreographed and directed by Shannon Litzenberger. It explores the erosion of our relationship to night, inspired by Christopher Dewdney’s popular book ‘Acquainted with the Night’. World After Dark takes us on an epic voyage through the mysteries of night, inviting us to reclaim the night – a metaphor for the sensual, the embodied, and the feminine. More info here .
