More than 300 exclusions from the Section 301 tariffs on imports from China, which had been scheduled to expire Dec. 31, are being extended through Sept. 30, 2023. Importers of covered goods (click here for full list or on the image to the right) can utilize any of these exclusions for any product that meets the description in the exclusion regardless of whether they requested the exclusion.
Exclusions from the Section 301 tariffs on imports from China for 81 medical care products needed to address the COVID-19 pandemic were previously extended from Nov. 30 through Feb. 28, 2023.
In the meantime, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative is accepting comments through Jan. 17 as part of a review of all Section 301 tariffs on imports from China. U.S. importers, manufacturers, retailers, and others that have been hammered by these tariffs should use this process to press the White House for relief. In addition, efforts to ameliorate the impact of the Section 301 tariffs are continuing.
