Hello Partners,

As we recover from the holidays and dream of warmer days ahead, I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year and thank all our chamber partners, board members, and staff for their contributions over not only the past few months, but the last two years during my tenure as Chamber president, which ends with the start of a new year. Together we fulfilled the Chamber’s purpose of promoting local businesses through events that bring shoppers to our village, advocating on your behalf with local governments, and acting as administrator for small business grants.

There are lots of changes ahead in Port Jefferson in terms of new development, and the Chamber will be a partner in shaping the future of our village. Steve Munoz, owner of Amazing Olive, will lead the chamber as its next president and I wish him all the best.



The last quarter of 2024 was, as always, a busy one for the Chamber, starting with the Dragon Boat Race Festival in September and the Harvest Fest and Chowder Crawl in October. We rang in the holidays with our Santa Parade down Main Street and continued with the Dickens Festival and Festival of Trees, both of which have become annual traditions in the village. Look for our calendar of events for 2025, starting with the Ice Sculpture Festival and Mac & Cheese Crawl January 18-19.

Senior Community Relations Project Manager - Mather Hospital

• On December 1^st, to start the holiday season, we had the Santa Parade & Visit! We had a great parade filled with floats, cars, and participants from 35+ local community groups and businesses.

• From December 1^st – January 2^nd, we had 33 Decorated Christmas Trees on Display on the 2^nd & 3^rd Floors of the Port Jefferson Village Center for the ‘Festival of Trees’!

• From December 1^st – January 2^nd, 17 Businesses in Port Jefferson Village Participated in our Holiday Window Decorating Contest! This year, the store with the most votes was The Wellness Stop!

• On December 13^th, the Port Jefferson Retailers Associations, with the assistance of the Port Jefferson BID & our Chamber, launched the first Shop, Sip, and Snack in Port Jefferson! 28 Participating retailers provided complimentary small snacks & drinks for store visitors from 6-8pm. In addition, the Long Island Explorium and Global Language Reads provided great experiences for kids while parents went shopping!

• After 9 Years, we brought back the Lantern Light House Tour on December 14th! We had about 100 attendees who absolutely loved the delicious treats and holiday decorations provided by the participating locations. We had three Private Homes to tour, one home providing outdoor hospitality treats and spiced mulled wine, The Mather House Museum, and the Consignment Shop. We greatly appreciate our participating homes, House Angel Sponsors (Howard Hanna Coach Realtors, Century 21 ICON, Danfords), SERVPRO of Port Jeff for sponsoring the Cocktail Party at Danfords, Theatre Three, and Kilwins for making this a great event!

• To celebrate the amazing year we had and our Chamber Members, we had our yearly Holiday Party on December 17^th at Castaways Steak & Seafood. The food, drinks, and décor were great! This year, our special game was who could wrap gift boxes the fastest meeting certain conditions and with a wrapping disadvantage! The team that won the game was Team SERVPRO of Port Jeff who had the handicap of having a longer roll of wrapping paper.



• This year, we accepted donations from our members for the first Ronald McDonald House in Suffolk County that is in the works. It will be located on the Stony Brook University Campus. We donated $350 to this worthy cause.
