"I was a mess"
Debra Way had a life that she was proud of.

Working as a general manager at a restaurant, her future husband and her were planning the rest of their lives together. Quickly tough times struck when her future husband was diagnosed with stage four cancer and died soon thereafter, her father passed away and she struggled with the loss of a close pet. She found herself in need of help in the midst of a battle with chronic depression and suicide.

Food assistance through the Great Plains Food Bank partner agency network has provided her a means to get by.

Trunk 'n' treating with the Great Plains Food Bank
The Great Plains Food Bank joined other organizations this Halloween at Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo to participate in their Trunk 'n' Treat event. The event allowed a convenient opportunities for families and children to trick or treat and visit with community members.
Ending Hunger Around the State

Hornbacher's recently donated more than $60,000 to the Great Plains Food Bank through their annual Check Out Hunger campaign supplying more than 182,000 meals to help those in need.

Diaper donation
The Great Plains Food Bank recently received a generous donation of more than 13,000 diapers from RDO Equipment. The donation helps to fill a critical need for struggling families and children across our region.
Fill the Dome
For the 12th consecutive year, students will fill the floor of the Fargodome for Fill the Dome. The largest food drive to benefit the Great Plains Food Bank, Fill the Dome has collected more than 2.2 million pounds of food and over $500,000 in donations since 2007.
