Hornbacher's donates record near $100,000 to Great Plains Food Bank
An incredible highlight on Hunger Action Day occurred earlier when representatives from Hornbacher's stopped by our warehouse to present a check for $99,733 to the Great Plains Food Bank through their annual Check Out Hunger campaign.

The donation was a record amount in the 26-year history of the campaign and far surpassed last year's total of $76,268. The campaign, which asked for customer donations at the checkout lines at Hornbacher's nine locations in Fargo, West Fargo and Moorhead, has now collected more than $600,000 to benefit the Great Plains Food Bank, which is enough to provide 1.8 million meals for those in need.

Farmers to Families Food Box Program continues into September
After a brief hiatus, the Great Plains Food Bank has continued providing fresh produce through the USDA Farmers to Families Food Box Program.

Distributions through the program will continue through September 18. All in need of food assistance are welcome.
