South Woodward Road between East Cloud and East Crawford, as well as South Muir Road between West Smolan Rd and West McReynolds will be closed from October 3 to 7 while crews replace drainage structures in those areas.
Motorists are advised to allow a few extra minutes of travel time to reach their destinations. Local and emergency traffic will always have access to private property within the sections of the closed road from the side upon which the property lies.
The Road and Bridge Department understands the public’s frustration and inconvenience with closing a road. However, road closures are necessary to maintain the county’s infrastructure so that Saline County can have a reliable road network.
Driving around road closure barricades is not just unlawful but extremely unsafe. For your safety and the safety of the construction workers, please obey all traffic signs.
