Yosemite Trip Community Closet

Is there a pair of hiking boots in the back of your closet?  Spare sleeping bag in the garage? Spare warm hats, gloves, warm socks, thermal layers, waterproof rainjackets or rainpants?

Can we borrow your gear?

The 7th grade class will spend five days in Yosemite the week after Thanksgiving, and parents are busy assembling gear. Hiking boots or waterproof athletic shoes, thermal layers, rain jackets, wool socks, hats and gloves and sleeping bags are all needed.

For some families, this gear is not in the budget, and for many families, these items may only be used for this trip, so it seems a waste to purchase everything new.   Do you have any of these items to lend or to donate?

Please send an email to Mary Henry ( [email protected]) if you have items to lend or donate, and let us know which items you will lend and which you will donate.   A brief description and sizes would be helpful.

The sooner we get this information the better, since this coming week is 7th grade "Boot Week" where all 7th graders will be wearing their boots to school to ensure they're broken in by the trip.

As soon as we have a good list, we will contact the 7th grade parents to get the items matched with students who can use them.

Thank you!

Mary Henry and the Grade Level Parents

Congratulations and Thank You!
