In the News...
Certainly in the IT news right now there is a lot of talk Cloudabout cloud computing and how it can save money, increase efficiency and speed up development. There is of course a lot of hype. Here at Positive we focus on the needs of our clients and hence take a very balanced view to "the cloud". I have written several articles recently to help people understand the advantages and disadvantages of clound based solutions you can read more here

How do I...? Keep up with social media?Hootsuite

I often get asked this. Here at Positive we are not social media experts but we do use it quite a bit and post updates on a regular basis. One of the problems facing businesses is how to keep multiple accounts up to date and how you can post once to update all of your social networks? We recommend Hootsuite, its what we use and its very easy to use. Check out Hootsuite here

Social media is an important tool for your business and you should invest time in getting help from real experts, there are a lot of people claiming to be experts. If you are considering contacting a social media expert contact us for some tips on how to choose a good one.

New Business Tools...
Here at Positive we have known for sometime that keeping your data close is important when working remotly. There are problems however with keeping your data on your laptop. It is only available on your laptop, if you lose your laptop you could lose your data and it is difficult to share it. This has resulted in several work arounds requiring people to be diligent to avoid problems. We have started using two new services that could be suiable for your business, they are Dropbox and Soonr
These applications let you access your data from anywhere, they sync your data when changed in any location and they let you share your datat securely. Which one might suit your business requirement depends on your exact requirements, contact us if these products might solve one of your business needs.
