A message from our Chief Investment Officer:

As we sit here now a week removed from the election, there is much that we know, and as always much that we don't.

Over the years, we have consistently heard from all of you that one of the areas that we provide value is in helping to remove some of the emotions of life to find the path and plan that allows you to meet your goals (and reach them in a way that is in line with your values).

Over the last week there has been a great deal of emotion. As we head into the last several weeks of the year & look ahead to 2025, there is now much that we know and can plan for.

As of this writing, the majority make up of the House has yet to be finalized. While we know who will be President and that there will be a Republican majority in the Senate, the fate of the house will determine the direction of policy over the next two years.

Equity markets responded favorably to the results of the election, not as a signal of support for a particular candidate, but more likely because of result being known. Markets move and function on certainty and the uncertainty of a contested result or unknown answer was not what they were looking for.

Strength in the markets continues to be led by a small number of stocks at the top of the market, but with the results of the election in, it is likely that we will finally get the widening and deepening of the markets that has been missing for the last two years.

Remaining diversified and practicing market discipline has been tough for investors this year, but it is that discipline that will allow for proper protection and long term success.

As we move through the coming weeks and months (and policy and the future becomes more clear), we'll continue to be in touch to help you work towards your goals, and the goals of your family.

Remember, when you do have concerns or questions, put down the paper, shut off the computer, turn off the TV and give us a call.

Have a great fall and let us know what questions you may have as we move in to the end of the year.
