Village of BHI Opens on Wednesday
Village Hall and the IPC/Post Office will both be open normal hours tomorrow, Wednesday, Aug. 5th. Please note, however, that mail delivery from Southport has been delayed.

Visit the Village's Web site to learn the latest and make sure to subscribe to the Village's Voice email notifications for the most up-to-date information from the Village.
Normal Ferry Operations Resume; Tram Service Limited
BHI Transportation announced today that normal ferry operations have resumed. Currently, tram service is only offered to and from the contractor yard. Remember that ferries are operating at 50% capacity.

Information regarding the reinstatement of full tram service and other updates will be available at the BHI ferry web site.
Important: Swim Advisory
State officials advise against swimming in any Brunswick County water (including the ocean) that was impacted by Hurricane Isaias due to the increased level of harmful bacteria that could cause adverse health effects. During a storm such as Isaias, flooding can cause coastal waters to contain bacteria from varying sources such as failing septic systems, sewer lines, overflowing manholes and wildlife. Hard copies of the August Island Report should arrive in mailboxes soon. In the meantime, the electronic version is available on BHA's web site.

This month's issue focuses on the uniqueness of Bald Head Island as a barrier island and how its varying ecologies are distinct and yet innerwoven. Discover how BHA's Design Guidelines intentionally help support the long-term sustainability of the Island as development inevitably occurs.
