Here is a picture of us celebrating Earth Day last weekend at our Environmental Justice Requires Racial Justice event. It was great to be together and learn from our speaker, Ilka Vega, about how our Climate Justice priority relates to racial justice. She gave us a quick way to advocate for God's creation. During Table Talk we discussed these issues in our own communities. More people watched on LiveStream and then had a discussion on Zoom, too. The slides and presentation are here for you to learn, too.

Walking in Wisdom & Love

May 20th  9 am - 3 pm at First Plano UMC

This Soul Care retreat is for intergenerational women, so invite your mother, daughters, nieces, granddaughters, and friends to join us. Together we'll experience a wisdom walk, painting, worship and sisterhood. We're pleased to have Rev. Sarah Boyette, Pastor of Congregational Care at FUMC Hurst, lead our worship. Special entertainment will be provided by Lisa Cairy, soprano, and Lowel Bomgardner, piano. We'll enjoy a delicious buffet luncheon catered by the hospital as thanks for our service.
