You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him.
Deuteronomy 13:4
Greetings MLS Families,

The First Ever Martin Luther School Virtual Soiree will be held on Thursday, November 12th (8pm-9pm). We are planning a fun and interactive event. Please view the attached information. Funds from the Soiree will go towards our Cougar Relief Fund. Please register to attend.

In the event your child is ill or there is an extenuating circumstance, and you need your student to attend school remotely instead of in school for their scheduled cohort day, you must call the school and let us know before 8:05am.

A big thank you from our Counseling Department and MLS staff for your donations to the Coalition for the Homeless in New York City. We appreciate your support in helping the community.

Thanks to the efforts of our Cougar Parent Club, Cohen Children's Medical Center Northwell Health will be providing MLS with a workshop for parents on Vaping. The workshop will be held on zoom on October 29th, 2020 at 6pm. Registration details will be provided later in the month.

Reminders:
  • Students must sign up for at least one college fair. There are many links posted on the Counselor Corner on Blackbaud.
  • We will be holding our National Honor Society Induction on October 21st during our virtual Chapel. Parents are welcome to join.
  • Please submit your emergency cards, proof of updated immunizations and health forms if you haven't already done so.
  • Zoom codes can be found on Blackbaud on each class page. In the event a teacher is absent, an assignment will be posted on Blackbaud under their class page.
  • Students must submit the daily health screening sent out by Mr. Fredericksen each morning. Both remote and hybrid students must complete the daily survey, as per DOH mandate. We are asking all hybrid students to complete this survey in the morning before they arrive at school to expedite entry into the building. If you are a remote student, the survey must be completed before 1st period.
  • Charleston Wrap orders due October 30th. Please See Attachment Here for more details.

Have a great week,
Mrs. Younghese
