EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR NOTES
Happy Fall! (Well, that happened quick.)

This past week has been a whirlwind including First Saturday, a Women's Roundtable with Department of Labor Commissioner Roberta Reardon on Monday (see picture below), the wonderful meet & greet at Maxfield's on Tuesday, and another great women's networking event with the Women's Leadership Initiative last night. Thank you to everyone who joined us on Tuesday evening - I am so proud to be a part of this diverse and vibrant community!

This picture is of me and board member Nicole Conant, Executive Assistant to the President at SUNY Potsdam, tabling last weekend during First Saturday. We spoke to students about what the Chamber of Commerce is and how we can help them learn about businesses, events and other opportunities while they're living in Potsdam. I also offered a special email sign up for students, and I plan to start a regular student-specific email in the near future. If you know any students who might be interested in this, please have them sign up for the newsletter using this form! And if you're a business looking to offer a special deal to students, let me know and I can include that in the email!

Again, I'd love to speak with you about what I can do to help you or your business, so please stop in to the office Monday - Friday 9am - noon, or email me at director@potsdamchamber.com to set up a time to meet. And make sure you like our page on Facebook, join our new Members Only Facebook group!

All the best,

Maggie McKenna

CHAMBER NEWS & EVENTS
*NEW* FRIGHT FEST 2018
Friday October 26 and Saturday, October 27, 2018

We're excited to shake up Fright Night this year! Friday night will be an evening shopping, dining and entertainment night, primarily for adults, and we will not be closing off the street. Then Saturday will be a vendor event where we will close off the street and use Ives Park (if we have enough vendors and activities). The timing will be 5 - 8 PM on Friday, and 10 AM - 4 PM on Saturday.

Some of you have already reached out to let me know you'll be involved. We don't have all that much time to put this whole thing together, so we will be charging a small involvement fee for participating businesses and street vendors - $20 for chamber members and $30 for non-members. Please fill out this form no later than October 1 to let us know what you're going to be doing, and so your information is included in our advertising! It's important to know which businesses will be staying open late and if you'll be offering any special deals, discounts or holding an event.
UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION

We would like to update each member's listing and logo. Please fill out the following form to provide this information. The form may take a few minutes to fill out - we appreciate your participation.
