Report Storm Damage
Pottawatomie County residence if you had damages due to the winter storm to your home, business and/or agriculture please report them at damage.ok.gov This helps Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management and Pottawatomie County Emergency Management document the impact of the winter storm and will support the case to help get more assistance to help you recover from this winter storm.
If you have questions message this page or call Pottawatomie County Emergency Management at 405-878-2332 Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm.
The deadline for application is within 30 days of the loss, from what FSA office tells us.

Unwanted Pesticide Disposal Day - April 1
We have been waiting for this date to be offered! We are promoting this early, so... it's time to clean out the barn, shop, or garage of those expired or unwanted chemicals for proper disposal. Please see the flyer below for all the details. The date is April 1st in Purcell, OK. This is the closest one we have had to our area in quite awhile. Take advantage of this opportunity!


Winter Injury Following Record Cold
For some plants, our wait and see approach may be visible sooner than we thought, while other plants may take awhile to reveal their injury from this recent bitterly cold weather.

Beginner Vegetable Gardener Workshop
If you are new to vegetable gardening and would like to learn more about it, join us for a gardening workshop each month on the first Tuesday, beginning March 2nd, 1 to 3 pm!

The first class will be site selections, soils and getting started with cool season crops.

The class will be in our extension office classroom.

Multi County Master Gardener Spring Work Day
Join in the clean up fun as we get our demonstration garden site ready for spring!

If you have a truck or trailer and can help with disposing of trimmings then come prepared. Also, mark any tools with your name, so we can sort out any stragglers.

A new forage series began in Feb and will be held each month, Third Thursday Evening!

During these programs, there will normally be live question and answer time, tune in for great discussion and the opportunity to ask your questions.
