Leading on Solar!
The City of Cincinnati is building the largest municipal solar array in the country. It will provide renewable energy to all of the city’s facilities and provide clean energy to residents through the Cincinnati Electric Aggregation Program. Once the project is complete, it is projected to reduce the region’s annual carbon emissions by 158,000 tons.
This project is moving forward due to the bold leadership of Cincinnati’s mayor and the strong support of the city’s residents to move Cincinnati to a clean energy future. “Cities need to take action – and that’s exactly what Cincinnati is doing. We are spending money we would already spend on power to buy lower-cost renewable energy that also benefits the community,” said Mayor John Cranley. Learn more about the project

Cincinnati’s businesses take the climate challenge seriously.
Headquartered in Cincinnati, Fifth Third has set ambitious sustainability goals. It is well on its way to achieve the goal of purchasing 100% renewable power ahead of schedule with the completion of the Aulander Holloman Solar Facility in North Carolina. The bank has already achieved its goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2022.
