The Power Inn area continues to reap the benefits of the strong industrial market trends. Below are a few highlights of new projects and transactions in the district that showcase the forward momentum of Sacramento’s industrial sector. 

New Construction at Depot Park 

A new application has been submitted to the City of Sacramento for two new buildings to be constructed at Depot Park. These new buildings will add 373,708 SF to the existing 3M SF of Class A industrial park space. Depot Park is home to Siemens, the California Mobility Center, State of California agencies, and many other businesses who occupy the fully secured neighborhood. 

New Construction on Sky Creek Drive 

Another new application has been submitted to the City of Sacramento for a newly constructed 32,560 SF industrial building, located on approximately 3.7-acreas at 6370 Sky Creek Drive. This project will house a fabrication shop for a local construction company. 

Sale of 8301 Belvedere Avenue 

Earlier this month, LDK Ventures Inc. sold their property located at 8301 Belvedere, which they acquired in 2014. According to reporting by the Sacramento Business Journal, this 340,000 SF building was sold for $42.8 million, which is more than five times as much as their initial purchase. The new owner is Dalfen Industrial, which is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and specializes in last-mile services for e-commerce operations. 
Power Inn Alliance is the property-based business improvement district (PBID), created in 2006 to advocate on behalf of the business community for economic, safety, and transportation issues. The district is located in the southeastern quadrant of the city of Sacramento and is home to over 10,000 businesses which creates over 29,000 direct jobs and produces over $3.2 billion in annual economic output. It serves as the city’s manufacturing core with over 62% of the city’s manufacturing base taking place in the 6.2 mile area*. It is also home to the Sacramento Center for Innovation, which will be the future location of the California Mobility Center.
