His research interests include improving stem cell transplant outcomes, new drug development in hematologic malignancies, lymphoma and leukemia, therapeutic uses of cytokines and immunotherapy, novel conditioning regimens in bone marrow, and blood stem cell transplantation, as well as the role of pro-inflammatory cytokines in geriatric and cancer cachexia, anemia, and in other disease states.
