No Show/ No Communication
We understand extenuating circumstances always take place that require your daughter to miss a practice or tournament day. However, please communicate with coaches when your daughter will not be in attendance at a tournament or practice in advance of the event. We ask that players be at tournaments about an hour before pool play starts, so please reach out prior to that time in order to better help the coach facilitate line ups and game changes. Failure to communicate in advance can be a mitigating factor in future play time opportunities.
TIK TOK/Snap Chat/Social Media
As a reminder from our club handbook, please do not to knowingly disseminate false information regarding Power Volleyball Club or its members to other Power Volleyball Club players, parents, coaches, officials and opponents through any social media outlets.
In addition to Club policy on social media etiquette, we have recently had more issues with players being less prepared and focused during practices and tournaments with the use of apps such as TIK TOK and Snap Chat. We understand these are fun applications for kids and adults to use and play with, but we are instilling a zero tolerance policy regarding having these app’s in use during tournament play and during practices. We expect our athletes and coaches to be focused on the matches at hand avoiding distractions such as these applications.
Playing Time and Conflict Resolution
We understand that playing time is not guaranteed and is left solely to the discretion of the coach. We understand that we are paying for practice and that our daughter may not have any playing time at tournaments.
We understand that issues surrounding playing time will be handled in the following manner ONLY. We understand there will be NO EXCEPTIONS. We understand if this chain of command is not followed, there will be no discussions regarding playing time.
