M12 Field Wireables

In this month's video, Turck demonstrates how to assemble their M12 Field Wireables, including Screw Termination, IDC Termination, Push-In & Clamp Termination, Push-In Termination and Solder Termination. These field wireables can be adapted to unique application requirements in the field.
Get the most from your HART devices

Similar to the way that personal smart devices might receive new features as a result
of a firmware upgrade, industrial facilities are challenged to get more out of the
equipment that they already own. Thanks to the Ethernet Hart multiplexer GW PL…
Bus, the various measurement and diagnostic data from the Hart devices can now be
used to increase system efficiency. Read more from Phoenix Contact and watch the video below for more details.
Next Gen Vibration and Temperature Sensors for Predictive Maintenance Solutions

QM30VT Series vibration and temperature sensors offer exceptional levels of accuracy and are housed in heavy-duty, ultra compact enclosures. They detect potential problems on motors, fans, pumps and similar equipment by measuring temperature and a variety of vibration characteristics. Learn more from Banner Engineering.

Be sure to visit Power/mation's Industrial Internet Capabilities page to learn how Power/mation can utilize sensors like these help you keep your machines running efficiently through predictive maintenance.
ABB introduces PickMaster® Twin, with Digital Twin Technology to Reduce Commissioning Times

ABB Robotics has launched the third generation of PickMaster®, its market leading robotic software for vision-guided random flow picking and packing applications for the digital Factory of the Future. The new PickMaster® Twin software is equipped with digital twin technology for the first time, to shorten commissioning times from days to hours and cut changeover periods from hours to minutes. Hygienic Stainless Steel IMA-S Product Launch

Designed for the most demanding food and beverage applications, the IMA-S is a hygienically designed integrated electric servo actuator for the food and beverage processing industry. The IP69K hygienic design features all 316 stainless steel construction and hygienic fasteners/cord grips which allows for open machine designs and effective clean-in-place.

The product line also includes the IMA-SA model which incorporates an internal anti-rotate feature eliminating the need for an external guidance mechanism, making it the perfect actuator for applications such as volumetric filling and pumping.

Watch the webinar video below for a full rundown of the IMA-S features!

Control Techniques Commander C Virtual Demo Tool

Control Techniques recently launched a virtual online demo tool to support Commander C AC drive sales. The Commander C Virtual Demo Tool is an easy digital interface that provides a safe and accessible first experience with the Commander C variable speed AC drive series.

This digital replica of a Commander C AC drive fitted to a motor and control board allows you to use the virtual keypad to set-up the drive parameters for commissioning just like in a real situation!

For guidance on how to set-up the key parameters, please consult the Step-by-Step guides. Once the key parameters have been set, the drive can be enabled and the motor shaft will spin.
Industrial Access Control - introducing FRANK

A growing application for RFID badge reading technology is HMI Access Control due to passwords to machine control not being secure once shared among the workforce. The FRANK offering from Fortress incorporates reading existing employee badges into any Ethernet control station from the Fortress range. FRANK stands for ‘Fortress RFID Access Network Keys’ and its major differentiation versus competition is driven from the Fortress approach of customization. "We actively want to engage end users and solve their specific problems in the way they would like to solve them."

Fortress ProNet units are third party approved to communicate to either Siemens (PROFINET/PROFIsafe) or Allen-Bradley (CIP Safety over Ethernet I/P) PLCs. The Fortress HMI Access Control Units can also incorporate custom I/O via buttons/lamps, and also quick disconnects. Entire enclosure housing push buttons and I/O cards can be entirely removed from installations. The ProNet units with push buttons are IP65 rated as standard.
