In addition to showcasing the current industry, Avalon promotes STEM education as a pathway to future engineering success. The last edition hosted more than 1,700 students throughout the week.
In this spirit, at Avalon 2021 the USA Partnership Pavilion will host the nation's first Astronaut Al Worden Endeavour Scholarship awards. Named for the Apollo 15 Command Module Pilot and global STEM advocate, the awards will pay for four Australian students and an educator to experience a
week of hands-on astronaut training at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center's Space Camp in Huntsville, AL.
First announced at the 2019 Paris Air Show, the Endeavour Scholarship program is a "nation-to-nation" goodwill initiative of the Kallman Foundation, presented in partnership with stakeholders in international airshow communities. Our partner in Australia is the Australian Space Agency.
