Youth is the gift of nature, but age is a work of art. ~ Stanislaw Jerzy Lec

Yes, we all do it. This arc of growing up and, if we are lucky, growing older is expected, if not assured, for us all. However, along with the physical growth and change comes a host of other expectations about how we should behave and how we should think about our work, our relationships, and our lives at different ages and stages.

For our meditation today, let's take stock of what we know about and what we expect of ourselves at this age you are right now. After all, you haven't ever been here before. Maybe you will chart a better path!

What do you expect of a person who is your same age?
Are you living into that vision, or are you defying the norms?

Whatever path you are on, may it be bold and true for you.
May it turn you into a work of art!

Acting Your Age
Rev. Virginia Jarocha-Ernst
Service on YouTube

An insult lobbed on the playground used to go, “Act your age, not your shoe size!” That was long before the years accrued in multiples of your shoe size. What does acting your age mean now? I have some observations to share!
