Going Hot and Low Tech
We can probably handle more heat than we think and we can often accomplish a surprising amount of work without access to the internet. (Though as I type this I am using a web based e-mail system and I'm sitting in an Air Conditioned room!) Ok, living in South Florida can prove to be a challenge without the comfort of conditioned air. Unfortunately, for many in Lake Worth and surrounding areas there is no power and it could be down for a few days yet.

For some it is an inconvenience, for others it is their livelihood. If their business has no power, they lose income.  This hits closer to home when we have a brand new preschool that is normally open everyday.  Currently, our church and preschool are without power. That means we can't provide the care and teaching for kids until we can get the power back on. It also means it would be much smoother if we could have the power on for services this Sunday!

Pray that the power comes back soon. Not only for those experiencing sweaty sleep but also for those who have more serious consequences from the loss of power.

Power or no, let's plan to gather for worship this Sunday.  We promise to keep it short and sweet if it's a hot one!  See you Sunday!  -Pastor Kris
