Happy Pride Month!
In June, we celebrate inclusion and equality with 100% PRIDE & 0% Harassment, Shame, and Discrimination! School can be a hostile environment for some students. Verbal harassment based on gender expression and LGBTQ-related discrimination contributes to students missing days inside the classroom. Also, students are more likely to avoid bathrooms and locker room s when feeling unsafe or uncomfortable among peers. All children need and deserve to feel safe and should not feel isolated or the need to fend for themselves. GCAPP offers an array of workshops on this topic and more. For more information, email LeKara Simmons at lekara@gcapp.org

Free Webinar for Youth-Serving Professionals: Unblurring the Lines between Consent, Assault, & Much More
Many young people are unaware about consent, thus limiting their understanding of what it is and what it is not. Research finds persistent confusion about what constitutes both lack of consent and sexual assault. As youth-serving professionals, we can help bridge that gap to help young people better understand these two relevant and extremely important topics. In other words, let’s work to help “unblur” what for some can be a blurry understanding of consent and sexual assault.
In this interactive webinar, participants will respond to scenarios, learn tips and strategies for communicating “yes” and "no" and discuss sexual boundaries.
