A Word from the Interim Pastor
We are continuing our theme of being “Powered Up for Pride”. This week we will look at God’s love for us and the power we are given to love others and to love ourselves. The message of God’s inclusive love has always been at the core of the gospel and the message all our churches have shared for decades. There are so many examples in the Scriptures where Jesus made a way for people who would have been tossed aside by the norm of the day. He let them know they were loved as is.

As we remember the lives lost at Pulse in Orlando five years ago, we are reminded that there is hate in the world. We did not and will not allow that hate to define or destroy us but serve to make us stronger together (Frank Langella). We have learned that Love always Wins and the difference all that love coming together can make in our world. Be Powered Up with Love this week!

Blessings,
Rev. Renae
Safety Protocols for In-person Worship
If you want to join us IN-PERSON, you will need to register for your spot. We have added more registration slots! The first 65 people to register will be able to get in. For those serving as Ushers, Musicians, Readers, Tech Team, etc. on that particular Sunday, you will not need to register. Everyone else, however, must register. (We need every name in attendance registered. If you are registering for spaces for you and your partner, please also include their name and change the number of spaces you are registering for accordingly.)

If you have issues with our online registration, please do not hesitate to call the church office for help at 727.323.5857. We will also continue live-streaming our worship at 10 am on our Facebook page.

Registration for this week closes Thursday morning at 9 am. Then it will reopen on Sunday at Noon for next Sunday, June 20th. To find all the information you need to register, click here.

What else do you need to know?

We understand that the CDC has provided updated guidelines, but for the safety of everyone who will be attending, vaccinated and unvaccinated, we ask for your patience in this ever-changing situation.

For everyone's safety, we will be following the COVID-19 protocols listed below:

 – – Masks are required at all times – –
Social Distancing practices will be followed
No physical contact (hugging, shaking hands, and kissing etc.)
No singing except for our closing song

Doors will open at 9:30 and promptly close at 9:45.
Entrance to the church will be through the front doors only.

If you have special mobility needs, please plan to be dropped off at the front doors.

Unlike normal worship, we will have Ushers seat you in the Sanctuary. What does this mean? You most likely will not be sitting in a seat that you have been in before. However, our worship experience will allow you to praise Jesus from any seat you are provided.

If you have registered but don't feel well, we ask you to please stay home. This includes fever, cough, and shortness of breath.

We are looking forward to worshipping together, and can't wait to see many of you in-person on Sunday!

June is LGBTQ Pride month. We want our Pride colors to shine brightly when we gather together. Throughout the month, we are encouraging everyone to wear their favorite PRIDE t-shirts at worship on Sundays. If you are worshipping at home, take a selfie and check-in at King of Peace on Facebook, so we can all see.
Want to know what the Bible has to say (and maybe doesn't say) about LGBTQ folks? Join us to find out! Click here to register for this class and receive the Zoom link.
We are collecting pictures for our special Father's Day presentation on June 20th. If you have pictures of your fathers and father figures that you would like included, please email them to tim@churchstpetersburg.org, including their names. If you do not know how to scan your pictures, we will do it for you. Just bring them to the church office M-Th between 10 am and 2 pm. Deadline for pictures is June 16th.
