Attend virtual meet-ups on Mondays in February and March to learn from others and share your spring field crop management expertise. 

Discussion topics will vary, but may include: nitrogen management, pesticide savings, seed treatment, transitioning to organic, organic production and long-term soil health systems.
Do you grow vegetables, fruit, flowers or orchard crops? We invite you to participate in one of several horticulture farmer meet-ups taking place around the state.

These informal gatherings are a perfect way to connect with peers in your region, build relationships, share plans and ideas and learn together as you prepare for the coming season.

Do you farm in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska or Wisconsin? You may be eligible to earn up to $30 per acre in 2022 for growing a small-grain crop with a legume cover crop and reducing nitrogen fertilizer on corn that follows your small-grain in rotation.

Acres must be conventional or in transition to organic (certified organic acres are ineligible). Acres may be able to overlap with EQIP or private carbon programs. Please inquire to see if you are eligible.

In this farminar with Adrienne Shelton, we will uncover some of the mysteries of the organic seed industry and discuss ways growers can get their opinions heard.

Focused on commercial-scale apple production, this workshop will explore keys to successful organic apple production in the Midwest, as well as strategies conventional orchards use to reduce use of pesticides and fungicides over the life of their trees. 
Practical Farmers' fifth-annual small grains conference will take place on March 1 in Lincoln, Nebraska. This one-day event will gather farmers, researchers and small-grain buyers to share their expertise on making the most of small grains in a rotation.
