UPCOMING EVENTS
Tuesday, July 13 | 2-4 p.m.

Alec Amundson of Osage, Iowa, planted cereal rye in the fall and then planted soybeans into the rye in the spring.

We’ll meet at Alec’s homeplace and then board a hay rack to travel to a nearby field to get a look at the cereal rye and soybeans just prior to rye seed harvest.

Tuesday, July 13 | 5:30-6:15 p.m.

Orturde Dial started farming shortly after buying an acreage, which quickly grew into a sheep and field crop operation. At this event, she will share what it was like getting started as a woman with no prior farming background.

We will see how she is using rotationally grazed sheep to improve soil health and production. We will also discuss pasture management, water access and sheep breeds.
RSVPs are required for all "Catching Up" events to ensure we maintain the small, conversational environment these events are designed for.

Anyone is welcome to RSVP for a "Catching Up" event! To learn more about a specific event or to RSVP, email the PFI staffer indicated, or call the PFI office at (515) 232-5661.
