Equipping farmers to build resilient farms and communities.

Watch the recording of Tuesday's call discussing options for managing derecho-damaged crops and prioritizing cover crops.

Speakers included Mark Licht, of ISU Extension and Outreach; Susan Kozak of IDALS; Mark Gutierrez of USDA-RMA; Mike Henderson of NRCS; and Tim Bardole of Iowa Soybean Association.

Three farms compared four cabbage varieties Caraflex, Capture, Farao, and Primo Vantageto determine which performed best, in yield and quality, on their farms.
Several new agricultural support programs were announced this week by the State of Iowa for meat processors, livestock producers, beginning farmers and some local food producers. More details can be found on our COVID-19 resources page.
The Savings Incentive Program was created to help beginning farmers establish viable, sustainable farm businesses.

The program was structured with input from beginning farmers and direction from established farmers. This year, we have changed the eligibility requirements. See if you qualify!
