Equipping farmers to build resilient farms and communities.
Cereal rye cover crops are starting to look picturesque after some spring-like weather. Our research and field crops director, Stefan Gailans, asked members of our cover crop email discussion list to share pictures of how their cover crop fields are doing.

Central Illinois farmer Jim Hild shared this photo of his rye stand drilled on Sept. 25 with a John Deere 750 drill. Jim will spray once it's dry enough and plant soybeans in this field.

Share your photos with us! Over the coming weeks, we'd love to feature YOUR farm or friend-of-farmer photos in "Practical News." Reply to this email and attach your images, or contact jason@practicalfarmers.org.
