Dear Sue,
Happy St David’s Day - Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus
This is a special day when the patron saint of Wales is celebrated. St Davids' life story is worth reflecting on. Although his fame spread far and wide with pilgrims trekking the far distance to West Wales from all over Europa as well as his homeland, he reportedly maintained a very humble and simple life - walking his talk. Simplicity can be difficult to maintain when celebrity ensues.
The emblem of St David is the daffodil, the herald of spring. As the days get longer the rain and hail have been coming down sideways in this corner of Wales. With this my wish for warmth and sunshine become stronger.
So now for details of my not-so-simple life! For the first time in several years the opportunity to go on holiday arose. I hope you can all rejoice at my good fortune of the stars aligning so a week to flee with a dear friend to a warmer, sunnier place to bask in can happen.
My sunshine break is taking place the second week in March. The regular Qigong sessions are thus:
Qigong Tuesdays at 6pm:
- 5th March,
-
No class on 12th March,
- 19th March
- 26th March
Qigong Thursdays at 11am:
- 7th March,
-
No class on 14th March,
- 21st March
- 28th March.
Torfaen Qigong - as normal, no break
- 7th March
- 14th March
- 21st March - then two weeks break for easter. Summer term starts on 11th April.
Thursday Fortnightly Mindfulness practice:
- Next on Thursday 21st March
These past few years have been dotted with reduced mobility and ankle replacement surgery (yes, it has been brilliant, mobility restored) with planned holidays having to be cancelled. These things happen.
It is my wish that you too have the chance for a change that refreshes and replenishes - even a few hours outside in nature can feed the spirit.
I look forward to seeing you this coming Tuesday 5th March at 6pm or Thursday 7th March at 11am for Qigong practice together.
Warm wishes
Sue
