Beginning Sunday, September 8th, we will begin an 8-week worship and discipleship series called “Practicing the Way”.

This curriculum is designed to help all believers - from brand new ones to used to be new ones - be immersed in the first century model of rabbinical discipleship Jesus practiced.

This model of Jewish spiritual formation focused on three components: 

Be With Jesus 

Become Like Him

Do As He Did

We currently have over 140 adults signed up for the various classes, but are taking registrations through Wednesday, September 4th at rossbridge.church/connect or through our My Church App.

Our pastoral team believes this series, if taken seriously, can be used by God to empower our congregation to take a significant step forward in spiritual depth and vitality. 

There are so many wonderful ways ministry is revving up for children, students and adults this month. I pray you can engage and participate in ways that will bless your household.

We are praising the Lord for the generosity demonstrated in the month of August for our "ONE ROOF + ONE WALL" Offering! This result allows us to provide the roof for Church of the New Seed (in addition to their congregational fundraising), our partner church in Ecuador, and will allow them to move into their their new building in a few short months! The remaining funds are funding our sanctuary expansion project - we now have room for 50 more people in each service!

You will be able to access an up-to-date church calendar, volunteer to serve, check-in children and students at events, donate, access sermons and communicate with other church members in volunteer groups.

To access My Church App:

1) Download “My Church” App in App Store or Google Play

2) Locate Church at Ross Bridge in “Find my Church by Name”

3) Once connected, go to the “Connect” tab. Select “Serving” >>>“Serving Dates”>>>“Sign In to Access your Serving Dates”. Enter your mobile phone number to register.

4) Sign-up, communicate & schedule your serving!

We have an update from our missions team regarding our support for mission partners. We are discontinuing the weekly “$5 Mission Challenge”. Since 2020, our $5 Mission Challenges raised thousands of dollars that helped relieve suffering here in our community and all the way to South America and Europe. 

Out of a desire to streamline our missions support and deepen our impact with mission partners, beginning in October we will have a “Monthly Mission Focus”. Each week in our worship order, we will share information about the month’s initiative, and during Holy Communion, you can choose to leave an offering at the altar rail (or give online). We believe this will enable us to narrow our focus and deepen the relationships and impact with our mission partners! 

For September, we are not inviting financial donations, but instead, supporting Mission Bulgaria with Christmas Shoeboxes. We shared our about this mission activity this past Sunday, September 1st and had 70 of 100 boxes picked up. These boxes are filled with suggested items for a specific child and returned by Sunday, September 29th. Stop by the table this Sunday to learn more!

CARB Member John Fleming of Fleming Martial Arts is offering a 10-week Self Defense Class beginning September 12. The cost is $150 for the full course and participants can sign up here!

We believe our children need YOU to help guide them, be a leader, and simply hangout with them!

We need volunteers for our Special Needs Ministry (Sunday mornings) and for Bridge Kids (Wednesday evenings)

Here are our most common questions about serving in children's ministry:

- Do I have to serve every week? NO! You only serve 1-2x a month.

- Do I have to plan anything? Nope! We plan everything out for you. All you have to do is show up.

- What if I want to join a Wednesday night/Sunday morning Bible Study? Just let Julie know when you’ll be participating in a study and we will make sure you have that time off!

- Is nursery provided for those with younger children? YES! If you volunteer, you can also bring your little one to the nursery during those specific times.

Here are some reminders:

• Every child MUST be checked in & checked out by an individual with a VALID driver's license!

• Please have your child wear clothes and shoes that can get wet!

• No bathing suits.

• Bring a towel!

• This is a REACH EVENT - have your Bridge Kid reach out to their friends and neighbors and invite them!

Attention Parents!!!

We are asking ALL Bridge Kid parents to volunteer one time each semester on Wednesday nights!

Parents will be the extra set of hands each week. Parents will not be in charge of any group, simply help! Parents do NOT have to plan any material, just show up to assist crew leaders and station leaders!

This Month’s Biblical Theme Is: God is Good

This month, we are learning all about the unwavering goodness of God. Through these stories, God’s consistent goodness, faithfulness and love for humanity are evident, emphasizing His enduring care and blessings.

This month we will learn about: The Creation, God's First People, Noah, and Abraham. 

Children will be discussing God's goodness every Sunday and Wednesday during the month of September! Don't miss it!

It will be a joint weekend with Mountaintop Church where both Youth Ministries will unite together in an awesome weekend worshiping the Lord!
