Melick & Hart Instrumental Scholarships!
In addition to the financial aid packages granted by Classical Movements each season, our fourth annual Prague Summer Nights: Young Artists Music Festival is pleased to announce two, brand-new scholarships specifically earmarked for instrumentalists. Given in honor of Gail Melick , longtime CM board member and Chicago arts advocate, and John Hart , noted philanthropist and Chicago Symphony Orchestra trustee, PSN's Melick and Hart scholarships total $2,500 eachawarded to two deserving string, wind, brass or percussion players.

From  June 18 - July 16 , 2018 , select  vocalists , instrumentalists conductors stage directors coaching apprentices  and arts administrators  from the world's top conservatories and universities will perform in and travel among two of Europe's most musically rich cities:  Prague and Tábor .

Once again, in collaboration with the Prague Conservatory , #PSN18  will offer all participants lessons and coachings with this revered institution's renowned faculty during their stay in the Czech capitol city.

Returning for her third summer on the first stand of the PSN Festival Orchestra 's string section, Tucson Symphony concertmaster and University of Arizona professor Lauren Roth will perform Mendelssohn 's Violin Concerto in E minor, Op. 64 , his last large orchestral work.
