Vienna Phil Principal Cellist Tamás Varga Joins PSN
Classical Movements ' fifth annual Prague Summer Nights: Young Artists Program ( June 17 - July 15 ) is pleased to welcome Tamás Varga —Principal Cello in both the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and Vienna State Opera —to our visiting artist faculty.

Introducing the Prague Summer Nights
Composition Program
Brand-new for 2019, students accepted into the Prague Summer Nights Composition Program will spend three action-packed weeks in the heart of Europe , immersed in the study of composing for fully-produced opera , symphonic orchestras and various vocal/instrumental chamber ensembles .  
In addition to daily private and group lessons with PSN's faculty composers, student composers will receive public performances and archival recordings of all their works, as well as expert instruction in score study, rehearsal preparation, career development and more.
Stage Directors Gayle Shay & Patrick Diamond Return
Professor of Voice at Vanderbilt University , Gayle Shay is also Director of Vanderbilt's Opera Theatre. She will direct PSN's production of Mozart 's Le nozze di Figaro at the beautifully restored Estates Theatre in Prague.
Director of the Yale Summer Conservatory , Patrick Diamond also teaches at Manhattan School of Music . He will direct Don Giovanni at Estates, the only venue left standing where Mozart, himself, conducted.
