Giving regularly not only supports the work of the church,
but also is your way of giving God priority in your life.

How can I help? Glad you asked!
Help us reach our goal of 236 gifts by making a gift.
So far we have received 221 gifts from individuals and congregations. Special thanks are extended to every giver and every steward of DMF that carefully makes room for the gifts of God to be shared throughout the year.
Join us in celebrating the 236th birthday of Alexander Campbell, one of the founders of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and the Stone-Campbell movement, and the new Spirit at work in the church making room for more gifts.
Make a gift today and invite your church and your social networks to join you. Follow along on Facebook and YouTube. Tune in to learn more about General Assembly 2025 and visit the new Disciples merchandise store.

Reconciliation Special Offering
Sundays September 29 & October 6
One of the early footnotes of our history as a faith community was the local chapter of the KKK presenting an American flag during the early weeks of our founding in 1924. Systemic racism was written into property deed restrictions within blocks of our building, forbidding either property sale to or residency of "any negroes."
Fortunately, no such deed restrictions were ever placed on the church property lots. I also do not know what happened to the "beautiful silk American flag" that was presented that Sunday. Its history is properly placed as a footnote report taken at the time. Whether it was worn out, or destroyed in the sanctuary fire of 1949, it has been lost.
Recognizing our brokenness, whether giving silent consent, or vocal support, is a beginning. We fail when we ignore, excuse, or lie about these painful and hurtful words and circumstances. We rise above our brokenness when we act to affirm the pain and hurt of others and give not to forget or rid ourselves of guilt, but to join others in acts of reconciliation that see all people as God sees: God's own children, loved and accepted. Please consider your response to the Reconciliation Offering this month.

Kroger Community Rewards Program News

$19.84 was raised by 12 households who have linked their Kroger customer reward cards to support Prairie Avenue Christian Church. The quarterly contribution is for shopping at Kroger from April 1 - June 30, 2024
Because our total quarterly contribution is less than $25, which is the minimum check amount, we will not be receiving a check at this time. This amount will be held and combined with your next quarter's contribution total until your contribution amount exceeds $25. At the time your total contribution reaches $25, or the end of the program term, whichever comes first, your organization will then receive a check.

Share Your Faith by inviting 5 people to church this year | |
The God you worship is always revealed through your words and actions. Awkward conversations (i.e. "Are you saved?") are not necessary when your words and actions reveal the God you seek to learn, love, and serve.
