FOCUS on Healthcare

Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 12:00PM (MST)

An overview of the FOCUS on Healthcare website, one of the only sites available in Alberta to publicly report system-level data across the provincial healthcare system. The site hosted by Health Quality Council of Alberta reports hundreds of thousands of data points including information on wait times, delivery of care and patient experience.

This webinar qualifies for PDU credit with both HIMSS and the Project Management Institute!

HIMSS Member Advancement

For those more advanced in their career in digital health.

Advanced members enjoy a variety of benefits, including industry recognition, HIMSS Global Health Conference perks and HIMSS Board of Directors and Nominating Committee eligibility. Eligibility for advanced membership is based on professional capability, experience, leadership and service. Life and Life Fellow members are recognized for their service to HIMSS for 30 (or more) consecutive years.

HIMSS25 Global Conference

It was great to meet so many of our chapter members at the HIMSS25 Global Conference in Las Vegas last week.

Monday- March 3- The Opening Reception was located under the High Roller Wheel filled with great food and entertainment- a wonderful way to kick off the week!

Tuesday- March 4 -The Opening Keynote was presented by Dr. Seung-woo Park, President of Samsung Medical Center, the world’s first HIMSS Analytics quadruple-validated stage 7 status organization and the first to receive a perfect HIMSS Digital Health Indicator score. During the presentation we met two social robots: Luni and Nova that provide emotional support and patient education to pediatric patients.

Wednesday -March 5 -HIMSS Canadian Reception

It was great to chat with attendees from other HIMSS Canadian chapters and from other provinces.

Wednesday- March 5 -HIMSS25 Chapter Encore "Best of the Best" -Interoperability Saves Lives' presented by Teri Price from Greg Wing's Projects

Teri's presentation provided a human connection to our work in digital health and helped us learn the importance of the concept of interoperability.
