A Message From Mrs. Thames
Parent-Teacher conferences are a great opportunity for parents/guardians to stay actively involved in your student’s education and visit with the teacher(s) about your student’s academic and social progress this year.

Once the scheduling time opens, parents and guardians will be able to log in and select a conference time. Click on the link for Pickatime directions . If you need assistance logging in, please contact the Parent Helpline at 952-975-7094.

Elementary Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled for:
Thursday, Oct. 10          4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 11            8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 15           4 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Elementary conference scheduling takes place online.
The scheduling site CLOSES Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 11:55 p.m.
We currently have our picture retake day scheduled for Wednesday October 9th, however, Lifetouch has not delivered our school pictures.  Due to the delay in receiving our pictures, picture retake day has moved to November 1st.  Lifetouch has assured that we should receive our pictures in the next few weeks.  Thank you for your patience regarding this matter.

Boosterthon Fun Run
Pep Rally - October 21st
Fun Run - October 30th
This year’s main fundraiser is the Prairie View Fun Run! This is a fun character and fitness-focused fundraiser. The theme is MindSpark Wild West . We will kick off our two-week program with a pep rally before our glow run on the 30th. Each student will receive a spirit t-shirt on the day of the run courtesy of PTO. Our fundraising goal will be revealed soon, as well as contributing to support teacher requests for classroom supplements and improvements. We invite you to come cheer on your students at the run or volunteer to check off laps! Run times will be shared as the event approaches.
Look for materials coming home in October. Please support us by asking friends and family to pledge your child for the Glow Run.
To learn more, check out the videos for this year’s theme.
The month of October is National Bullying Prevention Month. We will continue to have a school-wide focus on respect and will also participate in Unity Day. We are encouraging all students to wear something orange on October 23rd to unite against bullying.
Prairie View is again partnering with Sheridan Story, a nonprofit organization, to provide weekend food bags to families who request them. Families may enroll in the program at any time throughout the school year. Food bags will be placed in student’s backpacks on Fridays. There are five types of bags to choose from (see attached brochure) If you are interested in enrolling, please fill out the attached form and return to your teacher or call Julie Weeden at 952-975-8844.
Eden Prairie School’s EPIC youth enrichment program (run through Community Education) kicked off in late September and runs through December. EPIC offers afterschool enrichment classes from art and academics to sports and STEM! Coming up this fall include Drawing, Coding, Junior Basketball, Chess and more. Visit the Community Education website for more options.
Don't Forget to check the LOST & FOUND!
