Drawing Near
"But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works." Psalm 73:28
Have you been feeling isolated and hopeless? We've been bombarded by a steady stream of stories about death, with counts rising daily. Many have lost family members, friends and colleagues, or know of those who have. Job losses and unemployment claims have skyrocketed. And it all came so suddenly.
If you believe you are facing all this alone and there is no way out, you're wrong. That's a lie straight from the pit of hell. There is Someone waiting for you to reach out to Him. This is the time for you to reach out to the Lord.
The world is dumbfounded, struggling to put one foot in front of the other as it attempts to deal with the virus crisis. But for those who will seek and trust the Lord, He is waiting. He offers His love, peace, protection and direction, for now and the future.
The Apostle John said, "We love Him, because He first loved us." The Lord loves you. He is a Good Father. He knows how to soothe your soul. He knows how to settle your mind and keep you from going insane. He is the Heart Fixer and Mind Regulator! And He is wisdom. That includes His practical, tactical directions for dealing with the coronavirus and everything else impacting our lives.
Don't settle for feeling isolated and adrift, wondering how you will face tomorrow. Draw near to God, and request His counsel. Come to Him with an attitude of respect and openness. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you, and to make His presence known. Get in His Word and study it. Apply yourself and ask Him to reveal its truths to you. And don't be discouraged when it "doesn't seem to make sense." Stick with the Lord, and He will help you to understand.
As you continue to draw near, also know the Lord wants you to see Him as more than a Lifeline in times of crisis. He desires to be your Best Friend Forever! He wants fellowship. He wants closeness. He wants you to get to know and love Him for who He is. He is looking forward to spending time with you.

The following is Part 1 of a praise report is from Tyeisha George:
"I purchased my first home back in 2016. It was mine. I did it all by myself. I was proud of myself. But this past April I was forced to sell my home because of break-ins and vandalism. Talk about crushed. I prayed about it and asked God to remove me as quickly as possible if this was His will. I listed and sold my house in less than 30 days. He's an on-time God right? But this meant no time to find a new place.
So now I'm forced to move in with my parents. I haven't lived with my parents in over 10 years, so this was an adjustment. A very humbling experience. The goal is to find another house as quickly as possible. It's May. I'm looking, no luck. I find myself becoming sad and depressed because I wasn't finding what I wanted and if I did, it was well over the price I was comfortable spending. So I'm applying for jobs within my company to make more money so I can afford the house that I want, I didn't get ANY of the 5 jobs I interviewed for. Not one.
Fast forward to October. I'm still actively looking, still nothing. So I give up, because I'm tired. Maybe I'm not supposed to have my own home, maybe God wants me to be still. I've looked everywhere."

If you would like to accept and confess Jesus Christ, making Him your personal Lord and Savior or if you have turned away from Him to go your own way and wish to return to Him, pray the following prayer aloud:
Dear Jesus,
I believe You are the Son of God.
I believe You died and rose from the dead on the third day.
I believe You are alive and seated at the right hand of the Father.
I believe you died for my sin; paying the debt for sin that I could not pay myself.
Please forgive me for all my sin.
Please come into my heart and my life, and be my Lord and Savior.
I am forgiven. I am now born-again. I am now a child of God.
