Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, members of His flock, of which Jesus is the Shepherd (John 10:16), Jesus being the first to preach His gift of repentance (Matthew 4:17), now calling on each of us also to preach repentance (Luke 24:47).
My dear brother, Terry Barnes, a Director of NDR, faithful volunteer helper, year after year, excellent worship leader, is also a wonderful teacher.
He has ten vital insights on the power of prayer. Here is lesson one:
PRAYER CHANGES WHAT WE CANNOT CHANGE
Hezekiah faced something he could not defeat.
The Assyrian army was overwhelmingly powerful. Jerusalem was threatened. The king received a letter designed to create fear and hopelessness.
But Hezekiah did something remarkable:
He took the problem into the presence of God.
Isaiah 37:14 says:
“And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it; and Hezekiah went up to the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD.”
He didn't pretend the problem wasn't real.
He spread it before God.
That's what prayer does.
You may not be able to change:
• Your circumstances, Another person's heart, Your family's situation, Your finances, Your community, Your nation or The direction of events.
But you can bring it before God.
And when you put something into God's hands, you have moved it out of your hands.

This matches Psalm 109: " Do not keep silent, O God of my praise! For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful have opened against me; they have spoken against me with a lying tongue, they have surrounded me with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause. In return for my love they are accusers, but I give myself to prayer."
Please join me in this prayer: "Heavenly Father, in Jesus' Name, please help me bring prayers to you, moving the issues out of my hands, into Your Sovereign Hand. I confess that I often fail to turn to You. I need to pray to You more often! I want to take the problem in prayer up to You. I repent for failing to turn to You. Awaken my mind and my heart to the power of prayer that You give each one of us. In Jesus' Holy Name, Amen and Amen.

Dear Friend of NDR:
The Holy Spirit is moving through you and me at NDR to awaken His Flock, jew and gentile, globally (John 10:16), to the need to cleanse through repentance to be a part of His Bride; He's the soon-coming Bridegroom (Matthew 25:1-13).
NDR now has a "CALEB CHALLENGE." Caleb asked for high ground when he was age 85. Then the goal was a key city, Hebron (Joshua 14:6-12). Today a similar "mountain" to reach is the awakening, the deep insight, of the need for all humanity to partake of God's gift of repentance, to join His Kingdom and then to cleanse as His Bride.
Would you help NDR march up that mountain of spiritual insight, encouraging repentance ?
Given that number 85, NDR now is praying for an 85% increase each month in donations compared to the prior year, enabling NDR to continue to make donations to ministries in Israel such as Tiferet Yeshua, to pay Susan Hammer for all her work, to pay rent on the office, and to give more donations to our 17 repentance-preaching pastors in 11 nations. Last year $6,118 was donated in the month of October. An 85% increase will amount to another $5,200, a total of $11,318.
Will you please pray, and then give what He suggests?
2 Corinthians 9:7,8: "So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things , may have an abundance for every good work."
