Prayer Requests for April 6
JOYS:
- Dale Smith’s improving health.
- Happy Birthday to Sophia Sparkman!
- “Thanks for keeping me in your prayers.” – Lisa Chlarson
- “We have a Panorama bus to bring us to church!” – Phyllis Lawson
- “Thank you for a beautiful birthday celebration.” – Barbara Peavey
-
Being able to watch the memorial slide show for the Rev. Lisle and Diane Stewart. Much, much appreciated. (Note: You can find a link to it in last week’s Courier.)
-
Gratitude for our connections in the South Sound Cooperative and the fantastic work they are doing: Tumwater UMC, Shelton UMC, and St. Andrews UMC.
CONCERNS:
- for Suzanne Wyman’s daughter and her children to find housing, and that Suzanne finds a solution to her transportation issues.
- for Kelsey Moon’s son, Parker. He had open heart surgery at birth, and he has his yearly echocardiogram on April 17. His family is praying for a healthy scan and no need for surgery or medication.
- for Pastor Alexa as she waits for her gall bladder surgery date to be set.
- for Jessie Gray’s caregiver, Andrea Haydo. She and her son, Reese, were in a bad car accident last Monday, and Andrea will be off work for a couple weeks recovering without pay. Pray that she is also able to pay her bills and purchase groceries during this time for her children.
- for Lois Berg’s daughter, Debbie--she is in Allenmore Hospital in Tacoma and has been diagnosed with cancer. Also please pray for Lois’s niece, Tracy -- she has multiple health issues and is in constant pain.
- for Sherry Love’s friend, Melissa, who is in a medically induced coma from a major car accident. Prayers for Melissa to wake and recover fully.
- for Brina: continued protection and way-making.
- for Dale Smith, who has been at St. Peter’s for a week. Kerry prays that he can go home today (Monday).
- for safe travel for several of Louise Hakola’s children and their families traveling for spring break this week.
- for strength for Lisa Chlarson.
- for a condo association, that their members will come together and agree to pay together for their roof to be replaced – it is already 40 years old.
- for those with lonely hearts. Wrap them in the love of their community, friends, and family. Help them to feel the love and care we feel for them and know they are not alone.
- for our hurting world, that it may be healed, and people can learn to work together and be kind, despite differences.
- that all people are sheltered, fed, clothed, and loved.
- for those dealing with the fear and confusion of dementia.
- for peace in the world.
- for all people to know they are beloved and welcome.
- for those who are lonely and in pain or in need, who reach out to us on our church website prayer request line or by phone. Please hold them in your prayers with special tenderness, as they have nowhere else to turn.
Grace and Peace,
Pastors Heather and Alexa
