2 Timothy 2:22 (ESV) - "So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart."

Reflection:

The young people here experience vast amounts of pressure within their circles. There are pressures to live like others or do what everyone else is doing. In the process they lose identity, dignity, and the potential for a brighter tomorrow.

Paul speaking to the young Timothy warned against living with sin but encouraged him to go after purity and integrity.

As we reflect on the young people in the Gwayi community, contemplate the tough lifestyle discussions below.

Discussion Questions:

• What empowerment tools can the body of Christ utilize to empower the young people to flee destructive habits?
• How can the guardians walk alongside the young people to conquer their fleshly passions.
• What would the role of the church be in empowering these young stars amid their challenges.

Prayer:

• Pray that God will be everything to the young people and His Word will be the way of life and light to their paths.
• In every culture there is God. Pray that the young people see the presence of God and manifestations in their setting.
• Pray they will be hungry for the Word and desire to know or hear from Him and His guidance.
• Pray that the machinations of the enemy will not sideswipe them from their destiny.
• Pray that the young people will heed the encouragements and calls from the Pauls in their midst
