Dear Ones,
Today I extend my thanks to you all.
Many of you reached out to me after All Saints Day to check on me in regard to my mother's name being read in our services. You know the weight that holds and were kind to tend to my heart. It's one of the reasons I love this community - your kindness is beyond compare. And I know without a doubt, you did the same for the others who had loved ones on that list this year. It is a blessing when we can be a soft space for one another's tender hearts. It is exactly what is needed in our world. Let's continue to be that for each other and for all who enter our doors.
And as we do, I urge you to join us in:

Queridos:
Hoy quiero darles las gracias a todos ustedes.
Muchos de ustedes se comunicaron conmigo después del Día de Todos los Santos para preguntarme cómo estaba, ya que el nombre de mi madre fue leído en nuestros servicios religiosos. Ustedes saben lo importante que es eso y tuvieron la amabilidad de cuidar mi corazón. Es una de las razones por las que amo a esta comunidad: su amabilidad es incomparable. Y sé sin lugar a dudas que hicieron lo mismo con los demás que tenían seres queridos en esa lista este año. Es una bendición cuando podemos ser un espacio acogedor para los corazones tiernos de los demás. Es exactamente lo que se necesita en nuestro mundo. Sigamos siendo eso para los demás y para todos los que cruzan nuestras puertas.

Thanksgiving Breakfast - Can You Help?
We will host breakfast on Thanksgiving for our unhoused neighbors. We will need volunteers to assist on the day for a shift during the window of 6am - 10am for hosting, cooking, cleaning up, welcoming, and more. Can't make it that day but want to help? Starting Nov 23, you can drop off a breakfast bread: muffins, rolls, bagels, etc. that we will also provide to our guests.
To sign up, use the sheet in Olney Gallery or email Dave Howell at davejoanhowell@gmail.com. To make a donation toward this ministry, click HERE and type "Thanksgiving" in the memo line.
Desayuno de Acción de Gracias: ¿puedes ayudar?
Organizaremos un desayuno el día de Acción de Gracias para nuestros vecinos sin hogar. Necesitaremos voluntarios que nos ayuden ese día en turnos entre las 6:00 y las 10:00 de la mañana para servir, cocinar, limpiar, dar la bienvenida y otras tareas. ¿No puede venir ese día, pero quiere ayudar? Join Trinity Seniors for a potluck lunch and a presentation by the Justa Center leaders: Dean Scheinert & Rody Soliz.
Taking its name from the Canaanite woman described in Matthew 15:21-28, the Justa Center is open daily to serve homeless adults aged 55 and older. The Center offers a safe refuge from the streets, along with breakfast & lunch, as well as resources such as a mailroom, phones, and computers. The Center’s staff of professionals helps people access nightly shelter, benefits, transportation, and housing. Join the conversation about the vital work being done in our community!

Únase a Trinity Seniors para disfrutar de un almuerzo compartido y una presentación a cargo de los líderes del Justa Center: Dean Scheinert y Rody Soliz.
El Justa Center, que toma su nombre de la mujer cananea descrita en Mateo 15:21-28, abre todos los días para atender a adultos sin hogar mayores de 55 años. El centro ofrece un refugio seguro frente a la calle, además de desayuno y almuerzo, así como recursos como una sala de correo, teléfonos y ordenadores. El personal profesional del centro ayuda a las personas a acceder a refugios nocturnos, prestaciones, transporte y vivienda. ¡Únase a la conversación sobre el importante trabajo que se está realizando en nuestra comunidad!

Trinity Quilters' Invites YOU!
Thank you for tying all those knots and filling Trinity Quilts with your prayers!
Remember that you can request a quilt to bring comfort to someone experiencing trauma, ill health, or loss.
Join us for our remaining 2025 work session, November 22. We are in Atwood from 9 to 2 and break for lunch at noon. We will be sorting our finished quilts and deciding how to display them at our Quilt Show on December 7. We could use your ideas. Spread Christmas Cheer!
Once again Trinity Cathedral will be supporting Nourish Phoenix as they help make Christmas special for the children in our community ages 2-13, but they're doing it a little differently this year!
They will be decorating their facility into "Santa’s Workshop" so parents can pick out what they want for their children from all the wonderful toys and games we provide.
There are two ways you can help:
- Pick a tag or two off the tree in Olney Gallery and purchase the gifts on it.
- Buy gift cards from places like Target, Walmart, Goodwill, HalfPrice Books, etc.
Please spend no more than $50 dollars and please do not have items shipped directly to the Cathedral. If you would like to ship a gift, email Deacon Myra (myra@trinitycathedral.com) to get an address to mail things to. Bring the gifts unwrapped or in a gift bag to the Cathedral before December 7. Thank You!

Czinar’s paintings are inspired by hiking in Arizona’s diverse terrain. “I decided to reignite my old passion for painting to better communicate why the Arizona wilds are so enchanting.” Czinar writes for Phoenix Magazine and has authored books about hiking in Arizona. She has a BFA from California State University and has studied painting at Phoenix Center for the Arts.
Lovett creates Surreal Landscapes. His paintings are inspired by landscapes that drift beyond what we know, placing familiar elements in unfamiliar settings. “I hope to spark curiosity and reflection. This series is less about depicting a place and more about evoking a feeling.” Lovett has studied painting and drawing at Phoenix Center for the Arts since 2020.
Quissell captures the beautiful, elusive moment of changing light and how it plays on the view. “I enjoy how watercolor moves across paper on its own, creating serendipity, and I enjoy the colors and surface qualities that can be imitated in glazing.” Quissell is a private art instructor and has an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Las pinturas de Czinar se inspiran en las excursiones por los diversos terrenos de Arizona. «Decidí reavivar mi antigua pasión por la pintura para comunicar mejor por qué la naturaleza salvaje de Arizona es tan encantadora». Czinar escribe para la revista Phoenix Magazine y es autora de libros sobre senderismo en Arizona. Tiene una licenciatura en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Estatal de California y ha estudiado pintura en el Phoenix Center for the Arts.
Lovett crea paisajes surrealistas. Sus pinturas se inspiran en paisajes que van más allá de lo que conocemos, colocando elementos familiares en entornos desconocidos. «Espero despertar la curiosidad y la reflexión. Esta serie no se centra tanto en representar un lugar como en evocar un sentimiento». Lovett ha estudiado pintura y dibujo en el Phoenix Center for the Arts desde 2020.
Quissell captura el hermoso y esquivo momento del cambio de luz y cómo este juega con la vista. «Me gusta cómo la acuarela se mueve por sí sola sobre el papel, creando serendipia, y disfruto de los colores y las cualidades de la superficie que se pueden imitar en el esmaltado». for goodwill among nations, and for the well-being of all people. We pray for our President and for the Congress, the Cabinet, and the Supreme Court. We pray for justice and peace, particularly in Gaza, Israel, and in Ukraine & Russia, in Sudan and in the Congo.
We ask your prayers for the poor,
the sick, the hungry, the oppressed, and those in prison, particularly those who are being removed from this country without due process and those being removed in spite of being in legal immigration processes. We pray for those losing or being priced out of healthcare or SNAP. We pray for all those who are afraid in these times.
We commend to your mercy all who have died, that your will for them may be fulfilled; and we pray that we may share with all your saints in your eternal kingdom.
We pray for: Jill, Glen, John, Scott, Kathy.
We give thanks for those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries this week.
