INSPIRING WEEKLY PODCASTS
Responding to the news
May 30 - June 5
Guest: Rachael Myrow
| |
Have you ever considered that the way you consume the news has an impact on the world? It can be tempting to respond in an emotional way or not engage at all, because what you hear is too distressing. But we're each in a position to nudge ourselves and our community at large to a better place. Journalist Rachael Myrow spoke with Sentinel Watch host Tony Lobl about how she works to do that in her chosen career and as a news consumer herself.

Finding comfort after tragedy | |
You may find comfort and inspiration for your prayers in this message from the Christian Science Sentinel editors.
The most recent heart-rending mass shootings in Uvalde, Texas, and Buffalo, New York, (and 15 further US locations between these two tragedies) indicate a continuing call for spiritual action. Reaching for and attaining a higher, spiritual standpoint lifts us to clear, Christly thinking that is powerful treatment—to heal our own shock or grief, to help uplift the thoughts of others, to help us be better at loving each other, and to draw back the veil on the false argument that progress isn’t possible. This prayer in action reveals the operation of God’s timeless laws, magnifies good, and brings to light divine Love’s tangible presence in the lives of everyone, everywhere.
