This short video from the Longyear Museum traces the journey of the Farlows, a musical family from Nebraska, into Christian Science. After the healings of two of the Farlow brothers of a tobacco addiction and a life-threatening disease, the whole family - father, mother, and eight children - took up the study together. Eventually, Alfred and Will traveled to the Massachusetts Metaphysical College, founded by Mary Baker Eddy, to take her primary class in 1887. Two years later, four Farlows - Alfred, Sarah, Will, and Emma - were members of Mrs. Eddy’s last primary class at the College. It changed the course of their lives.
The Longyear Museum is located in Chestnut Hill, MA, It is an independent historical museum dedicated to advancing the understanding of the life and work of Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.
