AUGUST 2022
EVERYBODY LOVES A BARGAIN!
We added a "SALE ITEMS" section to our website. The items that will be l put in this category are mostly overstocked or discontinued products. Space in the warehouse is very limited and over the years, as we've created and chosen new products to carry others have been removed others. There are now enough of these discontinued items to put in a their of own category.

Last year we discontinued the cloth bordered single print wall hangings and prayer flags. These were printed in our California studio on high quality 100% cotton fabric. The one we're adding this month is called "Gyaltsen Semo" meaning "Victory Banner."
GYALTSEN SEMO - VICTORY BANNER
WITH CLOTH BORDER
Size: 20"X 25" Price: $16
The sutra printed on this Banner of Victory was imparted to Indra, the King of the God Realm (one of the 6 realms of existence), by the Buddha Sakyamuni. Facing defeat by the Asuras, Indra was instructed to repeat this sutra in order to achieve victory over all obstacles and enemies. Translation of the Victory Banner Sutra.
This exquisitely drawn traditional Tibetan Prayer flag portrays the "Four Dignities" in the corners. On the left side are the Eight Auspicious Symbols and down the right side are the eight precious possessions of a Monarch (minister, queen, wish fulfilling jewel, vase, horse, general, golden wheel elephant). At the bottom of the banner is the Wind Horse of good fortune among the five sensuous offerings. At the top center sits Sakyamuni Buddha in subduing pose surrounded by the eight glorious offerings. The composite creatures depicted in the center of the banner symbolize peace and harmony in the union of Opposites. Above them flies the glorious Banner of Victory.
The 2" red cloth border is double-folded and hemmed. The borders at the top and bottom are open at the ends, so that a rod or dowel can be inserted for hanging.
TWO MORE VERSIONS OF THE VICTORIOUS BANNER
Size: 19"X 25" Price: $16
Size: 18"X 25" Price: $10
The design for these two Victory Banners was copied from a very old woodblock print.
The center of this traditional flag bears the Kalachakra Heruka Monogram. Around the edge are extensive offerings: the Seven Royal Gems, the Eight Glorious Offerings and the Five Sensuous Offerings. Across the top is the mantra, "OM AH HUNG VAJRA GURU PADMA SIDDHI HUNG." The text is a version of the Victory Banner Sutra composed of many protection mantras to overcome obstacles enemies, malicious forces, diseases and disturbances. There are also mantras to increase good relationships, life, health, wealth, power and good fortune.
DHARMACAPS ON SALE
Our original "Dharma Caps" were adjustable; one-size-fits-all. Then we discovered Flex-fit caps. They are superior in quality to the adjustable, but require twice as much warehouse space, because of the two sizes. We discontinued the adjustable caps but still have over 300 of them.  We don't have the space or time to carry both the adjustables and Flex-fits. Many customers prefer the adjustable caps - so you're in luck. You can buy them for nearly 70% off, while they last. Here are some photos of a some of them.
You can see them all one the Dharma Caps on Sale Page.

THIS MONTH'S PRACTICE & NAGA CALENDARS
The sixth lunar month of the Tibetan calendar is when the Nagas harvest their food. If you make offerings to them on a teb day, then the nagas will bestow children, wealth, and livestock. If you make offerings to them on a dok day, then your offerings become rotten.
During the sixth lunar month, there are five especially good days to make offerings: August 5 (MedicineBuddha day), Aug. 12 (Buddha day-full moon), Aug 21(dakini day), Aug. 26 (Dharmapala day), and the 30thAug. 27th.August 10.
We appreciate feedback from our customers; encouragement ,suggestions and constructive criticism. We also enjoy getting photos of prayer flags on display, especially ones you got from us.
