Dear Faith Family,

As we begin another week of social distancing, I realize that some of us are finding our groove, others are clamoring to get out of the forced rut, and still others don’t know where we are.

If you are interested, the book is available in both hard and e-version formats and contains hundreds of realistic, heart-felt, prayers for many different occasions. As well, it contains a section on what Jesus prays for us, and a section on listening for the heart of God. It is from this last section that the following comes. May each of you hear the LORD speaking this to you throughout your week.

I am my beloved’s, and he desires me! (Song of Solomon 7:10)

Indeed, you belong to me, my child, and I love you more than you ever hoped and desire you more than you can possibly imagine. No matter your failures or feelings, no matter the defaming names you wear or the shameful things you have done, in full view of your struggles and knowing all your burdens, I have redeemed you and you are mine.

Though you doubt many things, you don’t have to doubt what I think of you. I love you as much as I love my Son, Jesus—for I’ve hidden your life in his, and made his righteousness yours. I cannot love you more, and I will never love you less.

Rest, my child, and be at peace. Know that the grasp of my grace is tighter than your grip on me. When in doubt, I will meet you right there. When in joy, know that I intend even greater joy for you. When in weakness, my strength is made perfect in that very place.
With love and hope in Christ,
Pastor Shelley
