This week, we remember and celebrate the life of E. Sharon Hayenga, who passed away on April 20.
A member of Hennepin since February 1988, Sharon possessed a formidable intellect, an iconoclastic spirit, a generous heart, and a deeply practical faith. She combined all these with a passion for international mission and worked closely with Hank Garwick in the service of increasing sustainable small field agriculture in developing countries, especially in India and on the continent of Africa. She also enjoyed the Thursday morning Women's Bible Study and Disciple study groups, where her sharp questions and convivial personality added to the lively discussions.
There are no service arrangements for Minnesota. Sharon's brothers and sisters, along with her extended family, will remember her life in a private service in Montana. Please keep them in your prayers.
