Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Presiding Bishop Michael Curry yesterday issued a statement that he continues to pray for all affected by the coronavirus in any way and asking that all Episcopalians pray for President Trump and the First Lady, and all in the White House or government who have been infected by this virus.
I join with our Presiding Bishop in his request and ask that all congregations in the Diocese of Florida include prayer on this Sunday, October 4, 2020 for our President and Mrs.Trump and their healing and restoration and strength.
O God of heavenly powers, by the might of your command you drive away from our bodies all sickness and all infirmity: Be present in your goodness with your children, the President and First Lady, and all in the White House or government who have been infected by this virus, that their weakness may be banished and their strength restored; and that, their health being renewed, they may bless your holy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
