Baptist Women's Union of Africa President Jane Mwangi and All Africa Baptist Fellowship General Secretary Elias Apetogbo joined with 500 delegates at the Baptist Women's Union of West Africa Conference in Ivory Coast in 2024.

Join us in thanking God for the beauty of creation and the diversity of people within this nation known as the "Jewel of West Africa."

Prayer:

Join us in praying for opportunities to share the Gospel with unreached areas in the northern parts of the country.

Togo

Praise:

Join us in giving thanks for Baptist leaders in Togo, including Koffi Kpomgbe who serves as the area director for BWA Horizons Africa and Elias Apetogbo who serves as the General Secretary of AABF.

Prayer:

Join with us in prayer that God will create in our leaders and members the will and the resources to meet the following 5-year goals:

• Double the current number of churches;

• Double the current number of ministers of the Gospel;

• Send five new missionaries, including four to unreached people groups in Togo and one outside the country.

Standing with Ukraine

Last Sunday, during a special Independence Day ceremony in Kyiv, Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored Baptist leadership for their support in the midst of war. BWA General Secretary Elijah Brown received the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, 5th Class, and European Baptist Federation General Secretary Alan Donaldson received the Order of Merit, 3rd Class. We give thanks for this honor and for the global Baptist family's noteworthy support of our Ukrainian sisters and brothers by partnering with the All-Ukrainian Union of Associations of Evangelical Christians-Baptists.

Please join us in continued prayer and giving as we come alongside Ukrainian Baptists – sharing Christ's love together even in the face of war. Over the last year, they have continued to serve in life-changing ways – including providing a total of 24,374 hot meals through mobile kitchens and hosting 67 children's camps across 21 regions that reached 3,819 children.

A Blessing

Our Father in heaven,

you are the God of gods, the King of kings.

We ask you to bless our governments, our leaders, our elders

and all those who are in powerful positions.

Give them a heart which abides by your willso they no longer favour injustice,

but act for the well-being of all, in all things.

Give us all humble hearts so that we have good things,

right actions, and your blessing forever for our country.

Bless the activities of the farmer, the fisherman,

the businesswoman, the artist, and all other workers.

After the dry season, send us the blessed rain

and favour us with a plentiful harvest so that we may glorify you.

Have pity on the poor, the soldiers, the sick.

Help those who are alone and console those who are devastated.

Support pregnant women and mothers.

Help the widows and widowers.

Be father and mother to all orphans.

God, bless your word for Christians, and for non-believers,

so that they may be assured and lean on you

to obtain forgiveness for their sins and become your children.

O Lord, have pity on us. You are the God of mercy.

You are the strength, the glory, the honour and the holiness,

forever and ever.
